Runner

 

Runner a conventional side-scrolling 2D platformer.

The objective is to complete the names of 5 items letter by letter. Sometimes, an item will appear and when the player collects it a letter is added to the name of said item. Even though there is a finite amount of objectives, the game is infinite and works with a score based on distance traveled; so when all 5 objectives are completed it will keep showing these objectives until the player fails.

To fail, the player hast to run out of paint, which functions as the indicator of health left. The amount of paint decreases slowly over time but it can be increased by collecting an item.

The instance I worked on is called Runner Blippi Sports.

The educational aspect of this game is 5 words related to a specific theme.

 

Runner Blippi Sports

Runner Blippi Sports was the fourth game I worked on in Lingokids.

In this Storymaker game I worked on implementing assets and programming logic changes when it was need.

This game required some new VFXs such as particles and other animations which I was in charge of too.

I also went through a similar process to other Blippi games related to making changes proposed by the IP holder (Moonbug).
